TILE

 Setting pool tile, my favorite part of pool building. Randy Eisenhart (my husband) began teaching me to set tile about 12 years ago. While living in North Carolina. We were working for Vue Custom Pools. This is where I began learning the pool building process. Yes, I did ty steal, plumb pools, dig ditches, everything, for about 4 years.) My husband (Randy) taught me how to take a pump apart chang all the parts and put it back together. (The guy has so much knowledge) This was a great learning experience for me. But anyway, tile is my favorite thing to do.

My husband taught me the basics, and then our boss flew someone in from Chicago to teach us to get it perfectly straight. He spent a week with us and taught us everything he knows. Before I knew it, I was tiling everything around the house! 

The hardest tile is the ones on the mesh. I remember having to set it for the first time. My husband was done! We were both frustrated. (@!#$!). He told our boss to get someone else to do it. (Pool walls are not straight by any means.) They are rough and wavy at times, so pretty much the tile installer is correcting all the bumps and dips! 

7 years later and pretty much figured it out. I can set it, not my favorite, but I can and will set it, (most pool builders hate this tile. the first question they ask when it's time to set tile is "what kind is it?") I will let you know, it cost more to set it.

Just wait until you see that perfect waterline. 

When your tile arrives look at it, set up some pieces to see how you want it to look. Some tile actually is directional tile; it has an arrow on the back to show how it should be set. Some clients just want to create their own design. We have sample books that we are happy provide for you.

Tile, Deck, Plaster, there is a variety, pebble tech, pebble sheen., your choice. We are happy to provide samples for you to look at. When they arrive set them in some water and see what the sample actually looks like under water (we recommend this).
